LAMDA Drama lessons in your school

Creative Education UK runs Speech and Drama lessons, following the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) syllabus, in schools for pupils aged from 5 to 18 years of age. The lessons prove an excellent addition to the curriculum, and to what a school can offer current or prospective pupils and their parents.

The LAMDA lessons offered by Creative Education UK are:

- The Speaking of Verse and Prose

- Acting - Solo, Duologues or Groups

- Reading for Performance

- Using Spoken English

- Speaking in Public

LAMDA is the UK's largest statutory speech and drama awarding body, as well as one of the country's oldest and most respected Drama Schools, with a world-wide reputation for excellence. LAMDA lessons and exams are designed to equip the student, whatever their age or aspirations with a range of lifelong skills.

Preparation for LAMDA lessons and exams can -

- Unlock imagination and creative thinking

- Develop communication skills and confidence

- Refine acting and skills and artistry

- Promote team-work

There is a choice to work either individually, with a partner or in small groups, preparing speeches, scenes or poems which are then performed for a LAMDA examiner.

LAMDA exams are a recognised vocational qualification which will help towards school, college, university and drama school entrance. They are also a fantastic way to measure your progress as a performer against an international standard, and to be rewarded with certificates and medals to acknowledge hard work and talent.
